Though at the moment I am currently working on a contract as an academic, over the years I have cultivated a varied portfolio career. Alongside my academic path, I am also a manager of public programmes and events, an educator, and keen arts administrator. I have worked as a researcher, university lecturer, private tutor, animateur, choral conductor, and school teacher. I have also planned tours, concerts and recordings for world-class musical ensembles and held posts in several classical music record labels. I have a wide-ranging knowledge of today's classical music landscape and strong networks in a variety of areas. While doing these other things, I have also written a book on English madrigals. This site will primarily feature my academic life, but it will inevitably dabble across my other areas of professional interest as well.
